This past year has been very difficult and life changing for me
My marriage of 36 years dissolved.
I have felt so many emotions. I question where I want to go from here. How am I going to move on ? What do I want to change ? How can I accomplish it ?
This is where the series DYNAMIC MOVEMENT arises from.
It expresses my feelings and thoughts of moving from one stage of life to another.
The paintings are multi layered.
The background layers have marks, shapes and colours that express my shock, anger, disappointment, hurt and grief.
The layers on top show the emergence of passion, new life and possibilities.
Orange plays a predominant role in the top layers.
The orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement and stimulation.
What wonderful attributes to aspire to and explore and live.
I am curious as to what this new year will bring
